Jeff’s
interest in music began at a early age, as part of a very musical family.
In his early teens he learned to play the guitar and sing the songs of
Ireland and Scotland. His love for the traditional music of his Irish
heritage from counties Cork and Donegal and the surrounding rugged countryside
of the English/Scottish borders, became an integral part of his musical
influence.
Jeff founded and operated the
Carlisle Folk Club, in the North West of England and many of the top Celtic
and contemporary performers played there. Working as both MC and support
artist to these great talents he soon built a reputation as a fine performer
in his own right.

Since settling
in the Milwaukee Area, Jeff has made several guest appearances on local
radio shows in Wisconsin, Illinois and Indiana and performed musical segments
for the Irish TV Journal and Media One "The Scene" cable television
stations. Jeff has performed for audiences at major Irish Music Festivals
in Milwaukee (Irish Fest 10 consecutive years), Chicago, Hidalgo TX, Cincinnati,
Cleveland, Indianapolis, Galena, Peoria, West Dundee, Dixon and at concerts
and club venues throughout the midwest.
Jeff's music represents traditional
and contemporary songs from Ireland, Scotland and America, singing a nice
selection of songs that suit most people’s tastes, from the beautiful
ballads to the hand clapping, sing along, foot stomping chorus songs,
so characteristic of Irish and Scottish music. As a solo singer Jeff has
been able to incorporate songs by noted contemporary folk artists, which
adds an interesting blend to the traditional Celtic songs he is known
for.
Over the years Jeff has opened
for, and shared venues with some of the premier Irish performers of the
day.
They include:
Lunasa
Sharon Shannon
The Furies
Stockton’s Wing
Robbie O'Connell, Aoiffe Clancy, Donal Clancy
Danny Doyle

Jeff’s 5 CD’s to
date feature all the popular Celtic songs with a healthy mix of contemporary
folk songs too. His latest CD “Working Man” is a collection
of beautiful ballads from Ireland, Scotland and England.
